Meander Mindset

A printed companion to an artistic waterway journey exhibition

Designed as a printed companion to the exhibition Meander Mindset: Bayou Teche, the art book translates a site-specific exploration into a design-driven narrative shaped by observation, geography, and artistic expression. Featuring photography and sculpture by Kristie Cornell and Marla Kristicevich, the layout reflects the artists’ 124-mile journey along the Bayou Teche aboard Lady Lucinda, a 1972 Boston Whaler. Reflecting the exhibition’s thematic structure within a linear representation, the layout employs a range of formats, including full-page image spreads, strategic juxtapositions, sequences of smaller images, simplified mapping, and expansive horizontal compositions that traverse the gutter. The final piece invites readers to navigate the work as one might travel the bayou itself: slowly, curiously, and with space for reflection.
